The theme for the conference was “Setting the Pace” which was chosen to reflect the green shot recovery of world economies and the gearing up of MIAP member firms to meet this changing environment. The event was seamlessly organised by MIAP’s member firm Hayes Knight Brisbane, who put together a top class programme of social and professional events.
Conference topics included: Audit Issues in a Volatile Market; Client Targeting and Marketing Professional Services; Going Global and Being a Credible Alternative to the Big 4; Recession: Protection and Opportunities; Developing IT Advisory Practice and Peak Performance: Learning from Sports Elite.
MIAP members also used the event to give a warm welcome to the region’s 3 newest member firms: MAG CPA (Saudi Arabia); Viet & Co (Vietnam) and Yusei Audit (Japan);
The 2010 MIAP Annual Conference will be hosted in Manila, The Philippines by long-standing member firm Villaruz, Villaruz & Co. CPAs.
